We had a fantastic Friday morning at Banana Moon Moseley as we welcomed our local firefighters for a very special visit!
The children were thrilled to see a real fire engine arrive at the nursery, complete with flashing lights and plenty of exciting equipment to explore. They had the opportunity to climb inside the fire engine, meet the firefighters, and learn about the important role they play in keeping our community safe every day.
Throughout the visit, the children asked lots of thoughtful questions and discovered how firefighters help people in emergencies, the protective clothing they wear, and the equipment they use. It was a wonderful hands-on learning experience that sparked curiosity, encouraged conversations about safety, and helped build confidence through real-life experiences.
We would like to say a heartfelt thank you to our local fire service for taking the time to visit us and making the morning so memorable. A very special thank you also goes to one of our wonderful nursery parents, who is a firefighter, for organising this incredible experience and joining us on the day. Your generosity and support gave our children an opportunity they will remember for a long time.
At Banana Moon Moseley, we believe that bringing learning to life through meaningful experiences helps children develop confidence, curiosity, and a greater understanding of the world around them. Visits from community heroes like our firefighters inspire our children while helping them learn about safety, kindness, and the people who work hard to support our local community.
There were smiles all around, plenty of excitement, and memories made that will be talked about for weeks to come. We are incredibly grateful to everyone involved for making the day so special.
